The first group of graduate students has now joined ADSC! Details on the new team members are below.

Xinqi Chu

Xinqi is a student of Electrical & Computer Engineering working at A*STAR's Institute for Infocomm Research in the research attachment year of his AUIP program. He is planning to pursue PhD work on computer vision with Prof. Thomas S. Huang.

Yuan Fang

Yuan graduated from NUS last year in CS.  He plans to pursue research in information management under the guidance of Prof. Marianne Winslett or Prof. Kevin Chang. This year he is working at A*STAR's Institute for Infocomm Research on location privacy in mobile computing, during his AUIP research attachment year.

Ramanpreet Singh Pahwa

Raman is an NSS Scholar in Electrical & Computer Engineering working at Illinois, studying computer vision under the guidance of Prof. Minh N. Do. Last year, he did a research attachment at A*STAR's Institute for Infocomm Research; he spent the year before that at A*STAR's Data Storage Institute.  He got his BS in ECE at CMU, where his senior design project was on speech processing.

Honghai Yu

Honghai is an Electrical & Computer Engineering student pursuing research on networking at the Institute for Infocomm Research during his research attachment year. He is applying to the ECE department at Illinois, and would like to work with Prof. Yih-Chun Hu on networking.
